Marc Frey
Licensed Master Electrician
Marc Frey is the president and owner of MAK Electric. Marc graduated the Electrical Program at Greater New Bedford Voc Tech in 2009. He gained his experience working on several projects such as Rockland Highschool, Hanover Highschool, Boston Logan Airport and many other projects along these standards. Marc had always aspired to break out on his own and start his own company, which became the company known as MAK Electric. MAK Electric was established in 2014 and has been growing ever since. Marc has successfully been awarded numerous large-scale projects such as Southcoast Urgent Cares, YWCA of New Bedford, and Atria Merrimack in Newburyport. Marc is a leader; he is hardworking, dedicated, and driven. His work ethic is nothing short of always wanting to exceed his expectations no matter how big or how small. His passion for his company is recognized through the time and effort put in on the field not only by himself but by the example he sets for his employees.
Chelsey Frey
Office Manager
Chelsey has recently come on board and taken a role as MAK Electric’s Office Manager. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from UMass Dartmouth in Human Resources with a minor in Sustainability. Her experience and qualifications have a key role in keeping the company running smoothly. She handles the human resources side of business, the account payables, scheduling the employees with their day to day tasks, advertising for both work and job positions, as well as updating our followers and clients with progress photos on social media. Chelsey is also the friendly voice that answers when you call and will help in any way she can.

Manny Cunha
Assistant Project Manager / Licensed Electrician
Manny graduated from the Electrical Program at Greater New Bedford Voc Tech in 1990. After graduation he did commercial work for 6 years. During that time, he worked hard and successfully completed his apprenticeship and then earned his Electrical license in 1994. For the next 18 years Manny worked on many new and renovated schools and several other commercial projects in the area.
He was then introduced to MAK Electric and made the switch in 2018. During his time with MAK Electric he has worked on both residential and commercial jobs. Manny has been a Foreman on many projects as well as Lead Electrician for multiple jobs which requires both leadership skills and the knowledge to complete the tasks with a sense of pride and certainty of good quality work. He has recently been promoted to Assistant Project Manager and is taking on much more responsibility, making him an important part of the team. Manny is looking forward to continue working with MAK Electric and to help build a reputable company that fellow electricians will want to join and be a part of.

Russell Tavares
Lead Estimator
Russell Tavares is a graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Voc Tech class of 2004. He has been in the electrical field since Freshman year. Over the past 16 years, he has worked on numerous high-profile projects all over Massachusetts and the Greater Boston Area. He has worked on many commercial projects such as: Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Harvard Standish Hall, Brockton & Silver Lake Water Treatment Plant, Hyannis Ice Arena, several Boston Area high schools and many more. His experience in the field has grown from an Apprentice to a Journeyman to a Project Manager position which holds critical responsibility which brought forth great success to the projects he has worked on. He has taken on the position as Lead Estimator here at MAK Electric and shows great drive and potential to the success of the company. He has a strong work ethic and a keen eye that will take him to great lengths.
